Baxter Planning Systems As The Clear Leader in Service Parts Planning Functionality

AUSTIN, Texas—(BUSINESS WIRE)—11 July 2005—Baxter Planning Systems (www.bybaxter.com), the premier provider of aftermarket parts planning solutions, announced today that independent analysis by AMR Research confirms that the company is continuing to distance itself from the competition in the highly competitive field of service parts planning. AMR’s conclusions are a result of a fact-based research study with interviews of 15 solution providers and more than 20 companies.

In its recent study, titled “Service Parts Planning Vendor Landscape: Managing the Service Level and Inventory Investment Tradeoff,” AMR Research identified Baxter Planning Systems as providing “Differentiated Capabilities” in 8 of 11 categories (more than any of the other 14 vendors highlighted in the research), while listing the service parts leader as having “Demonstrated Capabilities” in the remaining three categories, which is at least equal to all the other firms in the study.
