Strategic Assessment of the Market for Wireless and Cellular Telephone Recycling

The market potential for repair / refurbishment facilities to acquire, refurbish and resell "retired" cell phones is still largely untapped. A conservative estimate of the number of retired handsets stored and forgotten by consumers exceeds 400 million. The actual number of handsets that have been resold or scrapped is approximately 25 million, less than 6% of the potential market. Reverse Logistics Workshops and Seminars

Reverse Logistics Association Launches Regional Workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area May 19th, 2005

Reverse Logistics Association is offering the first regional workshop training event on May 19 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Milpitas, California. The San Francisco Bay Area workshop along with eight additional workshops in Chicago, Hong Kong, St. Louis, Boston, Los Angeles, Austin, Atlanta, and London have been added to the pre-conference training events held each year in Las Vegas, Amsterdam, and Singapore. These workshops are designed to deliver informational and skills based knowledge to a broad audience of industry-based professionals.

Reverse Logistics Workshops and Seminars offer interactive discussion and detailed content on topics pertinent to branded companies, OEMs, retail, 3PSPs and others interested in controlling their reverse logistics business. Topics "RFQ, Contracts and Statements of Work", "Hidden Costs of Reverse Logistics" and "Sarbanes-Oxley Issues in Reverse Logistics" and the "the Process of Outsourcing" will be offered along with an industry perspective on reverse logistics and closing out the afternoon with critical data on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) standards for Europe will be presented.
