Gary Gear -




As Vice President of Operations for the Storage Device Division of Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS), Gary Gear oversees Toshiba’s procurement, logistics and service strategies in North America relating to HD DVD optical and 2.5” and 1.8” hard disk drives. Leveraging supply chain management strategies and tactics, his departments plan and execute business directives supporting disk drive finished goods deliveries to the world’s leading electronics companies.

Prior to joining Toshiba, Gary worked for ICL-Fujitsu’s North American Manufacturing & Logistics division in Irvine, California. During his nine years with Fujitsu, Gary held various positions including director of materials for the U.S. manufacturing operations, manager of purchasing and planning, and program manager for new product introductions.

Gary holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a master’s degree from Pepperdine University. In addition, Gary is a Six Sigma certified project leader and has completed the supply chain management certification program at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management.

Focus Sub-Committees were set up to provide a standing Forum for Reverse Logistics Professionals to meet on a regional and global basis, and discuss common Reverse Logistics issues at the RLTS Conferences.
