Co-Chair - Mary Ellen Daniels, Global Account Executive

MaryEllen Daniels is a Global Account Executive at ITRAN Electronics Recycling, A Bay Metal Group Company.

"We purchase e-scrap and other metal products destined for recycling and destruction. Our internal team of experts evaluate products and ascertain the recovery rate for precious metals. Our clean downstream recycling processes provide a comprehensive, auditable solution for self maintainers, OEMs, 3rd Party Logistics Companies, who are seeking responsible recycling and destruction services. Our expertise is based on over 20 years in the metal recycling industry; we deliver global, responsive and environmentally responsible solutions for scrap, obsolete and excess inventory."

MaryEllen has 20 years of Reverse Logistics experience with Third Party Logistics companies including Compuspar, PanurgyOEM and Kensco/Service 2000. She has worked with major Electronic Manufacturers in the Consumer Electronics, Computer, Peripheral and Telecommunications industries. Prior to working in the Electronics Industry, MaryEllen was in the Healthcare Industry working at Kaiser Permanente and Touche Ross (currently Deloitte) in the areas of strategic planning, capital expenditure analysis and revenue enhancement programs. MaryEllen holds a Masters of Public Health degree from Saint Louis University. She is an active spectator sports fan for the NY Yankees, NY Giants, Green Bay Packers & Minnesota Vikings.

The Consumer Electronics Committee is organized to promote and share knowledge across the industry and continually explore new ideas to achieve total optimization of Consumer Electronics reverse logistics practices including green procurement, product returns processes, refurbishing and depot repair (as applicable), reverse logistics to maximize recycling, minimize waste, and emphasize green disposal. The committee will strive to improve awareness across organizations through education, workshops, white papers, and direct communication on best practices, development of standards, common practice and member experiences.
